Autumn/Winter 2015-16 RTW
New York, New York! The beginning of Fashion Month, this special season when Fashion is the most important thing in my head and in thousands of other heads. It´s starting all over in New York, the tremendous Fashion Weeks are about to come and here I am, with a (more or less) short summary of what happened at the first big events.
Since there are hundreds of shows in one week, mostly at the same time, it's a huge mess and nobody will exactly know what’s going on where. You need to keep a level head to survive this, even more as it has been very cold last week in the Big Apple. The island was truly jittering, but cold weather is absolutely fitting the cool and edgy style of NY.
Every destination has it's very own taste, style and feeling for fashion. For me, New York always was the center of coolness, the center of everything modern and clean. Even if there are some designers there who are well known for their romantic and playful designs, the most shows are very modern. Let´s put it this way: just clean. There is no better word for it, NY is the home of the elegant and preppy business chic, where you need to change your work outfit to a party outfit literally on-the-go, they are making the best of it.
So, here are just a few designers and shows I think you should have seen when you are interested in fashion. At the end of Fashion month, I will make another post, with my personal top 20 shows and designs – to give you a clue - they aren't mentioned in this post, so maybe you already can guess…?! Kisses, my Loves!
